Technical data, installation, safety, and certification support
What the film is, what it goes on, how it is applied, and the documents that go in a submittal package. Anything that varies by pattern is on that pattern's own page.
Product Structure
A 0.2 mm surface that goes over what is already there
Bodaq is a printed and embossed PVC face on a pressure-sensitive, air-bleeding acrylic adhesive, carried on a release liner. It resurfaces laminate, melamine, MDF, painted drywall, plaster, metal, glass and sealed timber without demolition.

Testing & Certification
What we can put in the submittal package
Certificates are issued by the manufacturer and revised from time to time, so we send the current documents with the quote rather than reproduce numbers here that will age. The reports published on bodaq.com are linked below.

Installation
The dry-application method, in five steps
The method statement from bodaq.com. Bodaq USA supplies rolls and does not install; for a certified installer, bodaq.net runs the network.

If needed, create a smooth, flat surface using putty followed by light sanding.
Apply the primer on the surface for better adhesion, then around edges and corners, and sand gently when dry. Primer requirements vary by surface.
Measure and cut the Bodaq interior film.
Peel off and pull the release backing.
With a squeegee held at a 45-degree angle, firmly adhere the film from top to bottom in a fan-shaped sweeping motion.

Common questions
What specifiers ask first
What surfaces can Bodaq film wrap?
Wood and MDF, painted drywall, metal, glass, laminate and plastic. Proper surface preparation is essential: sanding and priming may be required for best adhesion.
Is Bodaq Interior Film fire-rated?
Yes. Bodaq Interior Film is certified Class A fire-rated. In high temperatures the film melts gradually to prevent flame spread. The ASTM E84 reports are in the document library.
Is it water-resistant and antifungal?
Yes: water-resistant, mold and fungus resistant, and designed for humid environments such as bathrooms, laundry rooms, shower stall exteriors and kitchen surfaces. See the antifungal test reports.
Is Bodaq film self-adhesive?
Yes. It comes with a pre-applied, pressure-sensitive adhesive on the back. For porous or uneven surfaces, Bodaq Primer is recommended; it is designed specifically for architectural vinyl.
Can the film be removed later?
Yes, though it is designed for long-term use. It is easy to remove within the first hour of installation; older applications take 30 to 60 minutes for a standard 7 × 3 ft panel. A new layer of film can also be applied over the existing one.
